After spending our first day at WWDMAGIC in 4-inch heels and hobbling back to the hotel, we decided to go for the sensible option and spend our second day in flats. We started the day with a delicious blogger breakfast, then headed to the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge.
We were all busy blogging and tweeting away, including Elim of The Style Seen (one of our fav bloggers!).
Colby of Minnie Muse was such a trooper for spending both days in heels–all amazing, of course!
We spent the rest of the morning at PLATFORM, where we found that our flats were perfectly on trend. We met Mark Lee of Verlain, his new line of oxfords. We were completely blown away: not only are his shoes totally unique, they are of amazing quality (Italian=made) with a low price point (around $350!)
Renee in a Zara vest, Helmut Lang tee, Buffalo by David Bitton “Lisa” jeggings (gifted), Chanel flats, and Proenza Schouler PS1 satchel.
Of course, Renee had to try on some of the shoes (which are amazingly comfortable!)
How STYLUSTE are these aquafoam-colored ones?
We found more brightly colored flats at Kate Spade–Rebecca was in love!
As much as we were reveling in flats, you know we couldn’t look at shoes all morning without falling for a pair of heeled booties. These vintage-esque goat skin ones from Frye definitely got us back in the high heels mood!
More fabulous booties from Belle by Sigerson Morrison!
Okay, booties overload. These Vera Wang Lavender Label ones are SICK. The slight banana heel totally makes the shoes!
We also noticed a lot of chunky heels at PLATFORM, like this HAUTE DVF pair.
Once we had satisfied our thirst for shoes, we headed back to WWDMAGIC for a Buyer Chat at the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge. Mayka of Moxsie interviewed Tulle about their new line and their use of fall trends, like plum tones.
We also checked out the booth at Seveng, where they were making a dress out of magazine paper!
Old WWDs were thrown in the mix.
We loved the grungy feel of the Seveng booth!
Then we stumbled upon Sovt while we were wandering around WWDMAGIC–they had a countdown clock to the release of their new shoes, no products, and models dancing on a runway. Talk about attention grabbing!
Rebecca in an H&M jacket, Theory top, Gap stirrup jeggings, 3.1 Phillip Lim tote, and J. Crew flats.
Rebecca ran into an old intern friend from Lanvin, Anais Yim, who now designs her own line of canvas totes called One Language.
One of our favorites was the “City”, featured in front.
We also trekked over to PROJECT and met David Bitton of Buffalo Jeans. He had a great sense of humor and was incredibly sweet. We browsed his booth and found a ton of fantastic pieces.
Renee loved his sweats–we so wanted to wear these pants to walk around MAGIC!
This fur vest was our favorite piece at Buffalo. We’ve been lusting after vests ever since our style-off yesterday. It’s versatile and trendy, and adds a touch of luxe to everything!
Another fav booth at PROJECT was Super sunglasses. Renee never wanted to take off these two tone ones: they were the perfect fit!
HAHA.
Our fav picks from the Spring collection.
Follow us on Twitter for live updates and Whrrl for our exact whereabouts at any moment during our last day at the show! And of course, we will also be posting detailed recaps here on STYLUSTE.
